- The Friends of the Evans Public Library was formed in 1961 to support the activities of the library. In 1967 a portion of Mr. & Mrs. Charles Evans’ estate was left in trust for Friends to purchase books and other publications for the library. Currently the Friends oversee the Evans Trust, which provides additional funds to the library to purchase materials.
